AboutPeople Like You was my final design show at the Cooper Union. It opened on Election day, November 8th, and offered both a bit of relief on an otherwise sad day and ice-cold “America” beer. The show title was inspired by the ambiguity of the word “like”, playing off its definition of likeness and the state of being “liked”. The show featured a number of A2 posters that depicted a sort of imagined hyperreality created through digital collage. Concepted and created in a class taught by visiting CalArts professor Geoff Kaplan, the show was also, in part, a visual response to a prompt on ugliness.
